Title: Automation Service Technician
Reporting To: Service Manager
Summary:
• Perform building automation contract requirements
• Perform automation service requests
• Provide technical support for co-workers
Responsibilities:
• Automation system checks for efficiency
• Document and provide suggestions where necessary
• Update project revisions
• Provide assistance on job quotes and estimates
• Troubleshoot electrical issues
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Troubleshoot software issues
• Order devices from various manufacturers
Breakdown of time for core responsibilities:
50% - Maintenance contracting
30% - Troubleshooting (electrical/mechanical/software)
20% - Documenting and writing
Required Skills:
• Lift/carry heavy tools/equipment
• Climb up/down ladders
• Read electrical wiring diagrams
• Programming on multi-vendor platforms
• Perform under stressful conditions
• Adaptable to new technology hardware/software
• Safety awareness on the job
• Working in a “team” environment
Education and/or Experience:
• Electrical knowledge
• Refrigeration knowledge
• Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
• Read/Write programming language
• Computer networking
• excellent communication skills
